(UPDATED) New park adjacent to the Victoria courthouse should be ready well before election day

It may have cost up to $500,000 to remediate (after “tent city”) and build, but contractors working on the new playground next to the provincial courthouse have spared no expense to have it ready and open well before election day.

Sod was rolled in last week to create an instant lawn, rather than seeding and waiting for grass to grow in.

An opening date and ceremony details have not yet been announced, but bet on it being well before May 9th – election day.
